Re-sharing our older pieces is always a blessing, not only for those (of us) who didn’t see it the first time round (like me!) and often for ourselves as well. I usually find my perspective has changed and my thoughts about the verse Im re-sharing are quite different than originally.
You’ll be happy to hear I’m finally compiling poems for my first poetry collection. Trying to decide on whether the photos go or not with the pieces and you’ve been so vocal about those you love. I cherish your opinion. Humbled.
Good for you! Audrey, you’ve got a terrific body of work to publish.
Actually, there were many more photos I loved but sometimes I was so taken by the poetry that I forgot to mention the photo. You do well something I struggle with; express an enormous topic with few words but strong images that evoke everything that needs to be said.
I understand and will have speaks with the wind to push on forward and downhill to you, my friend. Hugs! Dare I say I miss the heat. π π β‘ I’m well, thank you.
We’ve had lots of wind, too, but today it’s snowing. Sigh. The birds are all confused; so are the flowers and trees. Guess that dumb groundhog was right, after all!
About a week ago the wind blew fiercely. In fact, it blew so hard it was opening and shutting the door here at work (in an old church), which was constantly making me jump in concern. Ha..God is that you, it’s me Audrey? π
Stinking cold wind without the pay off of snow can leave right now!
I love this simple yet poignant conversation! π

I used to write those a lot. This is an old piece, but was happy to share it. xoxo

Glad you’ve had a break from the wind, John. Can be nerve wracking around the gulf, for sure.
