From simple beginnings
A leader, yet not
Self cope, learned not taught
An ache swells against her chest
She, fully aware of the meaning
And where her priorities
Should remain, yet
A glimpse of cerulean,
Through a pristine white sky,
Leaves her swiftly restrained.
Wild daisies across an open field,
Tall prairie grass swaying
Is pictured, visioned longingly
With his strong hand
Pulling her in
Taken, once again
I love the symbolism. Very well written.

A wistful poem, longing for beauty and love, as promising as a pastoral scene. This one delivers, Audrey.

Golly, I sure wish we had some beautiful blue skies like that!! We’ve had nothing but dreary grayness for weeks on end. Sigh. This is a lovely photo and your words make it more so!

I just got home from taking photos outside. Our twilight was amazing. Sigh. Glad you like this, Debbie. Cheer up! Those blue skies are there somewhere. ♡

A great thing to say (my mind often takes me where life hasn’t allowed) maybe that’s the root of creativity?

You are writing more beautifully than ever. Perhaps your spirit is calmer and more inspired being back in the homeland? The photography is also very beautiful

Nothing like being taken under a white sky with a glimpse of cerulean. Would be beautiful.
