You’ll know
It’ll be in the way
She holds you
Her embrace
Heals
Loves without doubt
Believes in
Umbrellas
Open doors
Inside of the sidewalk
Strong hand leading
At the small of her back
Accepting sounds
As answers, a sigh, a groan
Gentle smirk and stern look
Her embrace
Accepts you
And honors
Who you’ve always been
For it is your transparency
She adores
And how your love feels
When she’s against your skin

Truth – I wanted to change my eye color because of that song gotta agree, but only because hazel is super-unusual.

My daughter has brown eyes and it was only recently a woman asked if I’ve ever let her listen to the song. I’d totally forgotten it, and it was a bit before my time.

Once again you pair image and word well.

I might pair them against each other well, but for the record I take the pictures well before the words are written. I write my heart. When I’m looking through my pictures and locate the one begging to be used, it is then I realize my feelings have been validated and often times I find peace. Knowing myself a little better at that moment.
Thankful you read my words, C

Sounds like a dream come true, Shari. I believe this season brings out the romance inside of me. Or it may be all the beautiful photos of all the happy couples going on late night dinner dates with their best clothes on in search of a Christmas party. Thanks so much.

Striking in its beauty — you’re a true romantic poet, ma’am!! And where did you find this touching tree??

I am a pathetic dreamer, who happens to adore the idea of true love. A curse, really. This tree is outside one of the three windows in my office, if you can believe it. I find it quite inspiring. Thank you, Debbie.
