It’ll be one day
Tell me no
It’ll be one day
Never quite sure
It’ll be one day
Look past me again
It’ll be one day
Witness to love’s end
Foolish girl
Wasn’t meant for you
Foolish girl
You’re not a dream come true
Foolish girl
Your heart’s a mess
Foolish girl
You’ll never stand a chance
I want to draw you near
Pull you closer to me
I watched
His face, fall
Told me everything,
Yours will, too
Whoa! Beautiful pic. I wish I was a flower, the sudden.

Thanks! It’s definitely one we don’t see very often, I guess. You would probably get a lot of attention as this flower. I appreciate you stopping by.

Wonderful photo ~ and how wonderful foolish girls can be 🙂 Funny, the Mariner’s game just finished and the channel was changed to the movie Grease ~ just in time for the song Summer Loving… I can’t help but smile at how I love the music and how in many ways this poem summarizes the mood of the movie. Happy endings do exist…although as a little kid I kind of figured things would not work out between me and Olivia…still…

Thank you, Sir. This foolish girl is grateful you think so… :). You were watching baseball, which means your still stateside, maybe. I remember the adorable conversation we had on here over music and baseball one evening. Love that you were watching Grease tonight. Love that scene where Sandy puts out the cigarette at the end of the movie. I bet many a girl has come at you that way and you’ve grinned from ear to ear watching her. Such a flirt, Dalo. Sandy is missin’ out!
Thank you for reminding me that happy endings exist. I’m due one here shortly. 😉 Love having you here, Photographer.

Still Stateside, one more week then back to China/Asia ~ soaking in all of home that I can 🙂 Watching Sandy last night was a good trip down memory lane ~ and that scene is a classic. “I got chills, there multiplying…”

I have no doubt your family and friends love having you home for the summer. It is a classic. “And I’m losing control. Cause the power you’re supplin’…” Please tell me you were using your hairbrush while singing, too. Wink! Thanks for the smile, Photographer.

Thank you, my friend. I’m braver than my poetry allows most of the time. You’re so sweet to me. xo

Audrey, you say so much in the words and in the construction of the poem.
At any time we might think everything is perfect, but turn the same situation a slight rotation, and it all seems so completely off kilter.

Sometimes I look at what I have to offer and have to sigh, dig deep to find the courage to share and believe anything I have to say has value to another person. I’m incredibly simple. My words often are too. Every day I’m grateful to have a place to share my poetry. Humbled and thankful for readers like you. ♡

I love when that happens…when the words come pouring out in a torrent and it’s all I can to to ‘hold on’ and write them down. Im so glad you did, in spite of the sad nature of the words. We’ve all experienced this on some level…you aren’t alone in this.

Felt a lot like riding a pinwheel, which sent me into writing a poem titled Pinwheel. I feel surrounded by those who have not only walked my path bit also learned from it. Feels genuinely good. ♡

🙂 I like that title, Pinwheel…are you going to use it when you get to “p’? 🙂
