All I keep thinking
is I took you home with me,
from here: my world.
Inside me,
there is a rhythm,
a melody and a presence
I recognize.
Weakening into a strength,
inside this cool air,
allowed me
to breathe, to feel
and be myself.
The quietness,
awakening my core
as I heard the sound of love;
pure devotion, nothing more.
I keep this spirit,
this lead, and confidence,
close.
You’re thriving,
more than simply alive
behind my breasts.
You’re beating continuously,
effortlessly wild,
yet, this isn’t enough.
I belong with you, here.
Wonderful paradox you worked, Aud:
Weakening into a strength.
The effortlessly wild is beautiful and you nailed it, with the right person it is never enough.

Nope. Not Nebraska. Colorado, actually. You know, I’ve written a lot of poetry about these mountains. Near your backyard, actually. Well damn, brother, tell me how you really feel. *smiles* Thank you! I appreciate you thinking so, Jay. Truly.

Well, at least I got one smile out of you. My day, you ask? Started in Loveland, at a motel. Ended in my town, finishing a small job. Enjoyed my day, and yours?

Oh, I have them all saved up for later in the week. Here’s another. *smiles* Ooo, a motel?! *starts the disco music* Imma gonna leave that small job joke to myself. Giggles. (Sounds busy) My day was okay. Cleaned a little. Read a lot. Didn’t do near enough, I know that to be true.

Oh, Debbie, you have no idea how much I love that line, as well. (Meaning that in the most humbling of ways.) Sigh. Feels good to know it captured your eyes. Love. Well, it didn’t seem so at the time, but I’m settling into the fact that I may have given myself just what I needed. Thank you, my friend.

You’ve done a pretty good job with the poems from your “Midwest” period. I think something a little special made it into those.

Thank you for noticing, Dan. Yes, that little something is finding it’s way out. I always feel loved here and sharing comes so natural to me while surrounded by your support. I’d have never asked for the support, it has taken me a long time to accept it and I would be lost now without it, so thank you.
