I’m home, unpacked and packing again for another adventure. I’ve visited numerous states (including Kentucky and North Carolina which were not part of my summer plans), but it feels good to be in Texas again. At least a little. I’ll be leaving in the morning for central Texas, Hill Country and the Frio River.
I need time to clear my head and find my voice again and the trip here always seems to help. The internet connections are limited, so you won’t see me posting or commenting.
See you in a week. Hope y’all are enjoying your summer. Go find love and give her a sweet pat on the ass for me. I love you.
Yours,
Audrey
Your comment about love made me grin!

Good morning, Duketh. I do hope you’re correct. You’re biased, you know. You’ve been forced into liking my poetry. No getting out now… *giggles* I missed you, my friend.

I’ve missed you, too. Hope everything was very fun. I’ve got a cold, can you believe. Nah, you’re poetry just grows on one.

Oh, fun, sad, happy, tiring, invigorating, smartening (a new word), and terribly shocking towards the end! *wink* Wait. A cold? No…any better now? Aw. So sweet of you.

*laughs* I want to hear about this shocking part… Yes, much better now. It was a one day deal, it seems.

Oh, you know the shocking part, Duke!! *laughs* A one day deal, well, a relief. Glad you’re doing better.

You changed your theme!

I did!! So, is it horrible???

Not at all! I love it. How do you like it?

Well, I think I like it, a lot. Definitely new and shinier. I thought the other theme was better suited for stories, which I wasn’t doing enough of, Duke. However, I am not pleased with how my poems show up as run on sentences. I have to fix that…somehow. I’m glad you love it.

There are always problems with a theme, I fear. But I didn’t notice anything sloppy or a run on or anything like that. It’s cool!

Okay, thanks for telling me. Trying out a few different posts just to see what looks best. Aw. I appreciate your help.

Also, I think the comments are laid out wonderfully. Better than TPL’s!

I’m pleased with that, as well. Do you not like your theme, Duke?

I love it overall…but there’s things I’d change, if I could.

Well, for one thing, I’d like to be able to upload just audio and video. Then…I think I’d change some color stuff and fonts. Little things, really.

I see. Buy the theme. Maybe you can then…I don’t know about such things.

Yes, you’re right. If I bought the theme, it’d work. But…I don’t know…it’s just TPL!

I don’t buy the theme either. I do purchase my place here though. Probably dumb of me since it’s free and all.

Nah, it’s cool without the wordpress in it, I assure you.

Enjoy your time away Audacious, nothing like getting away to another world (the non-virtual world of modern society), and recollect thoughts and life. Such trips I love for the simplicity alone. Cheers to a relaxing and grateful week ~

Have I mentioned how nice it is coming home to you, Dalo? The outdoors calmed and reinforced my desire to write poetry. I had a great time, Sir. I know you don’t doubt that for a minute. Hugs!

So that is a real butterfly. I couldn’t decide if it was a moth or a butterfly. Beautiful words as always. I don’t know how you poets do it with so few words. Amazing.
I hope you have a lovely trip. Watch out for all the crazies on the road!!!!!!

A real butterfly I found in Colorado while hiking. She was fluttering her wings. Just the tiniest of creatures. Adorable. You are too kind. Humbled. I’m merely posing as a poet, SD. I love being called one. Thank you! I will….

I drove from El Paso to Shreveport, and let me tell you, it felt like Texas itself was several states, as if I’d gone around the earth a few times along the way. 🙂

I hear ya. I once had to drive from Galveston to Dallas and then to Amarillo…took me two days. I didn’t realize I was on a hamster wheel at the time… 😉

I’ve made that trip from Dallas to Amarillo. The further you get, the slower you go, the more the road winds, the more towns appear out of nowhere, and if you finally get through, you’ve somehow traveled a decade into the future. 🙂
