a canvas for dreams
clouds beautiful, yet employed
each one viewed with expectation
some weightier than others
contain
a hush-hush reality
thankfully, I’m floating, too
Thank you, B. Your opinion means a lot. I’m thankful when I choose to use the rarely seen wording. Thanks for letting me know. Hope you’re having a great day.
Lovely! Audrey, I am woefully behind in commenting on blogs. I love your poetry, however. Consider my silence of late due to a busy schedule, but not due to any lack of appreciation for your wonderful talent. β€
Don’t give your absence another thought, Kate. Life is a busy beast, of this I know to be true. You’ve been missed, but not at all thought of with dissatisfaction. I adore you. Thanks for popping in. β‘β‘ I hope all is well, my friend.
Ah! to float, to be away, to leave, at least for a while, the harsh world behind,
nothing can be more blissful.
This is a fine sharing, Audrey – Thank You
Yes, those poems I know should be used. I want to know your favorites and why… it is a lot to ask of you, Duke. Do you think I should narrow down and then revisit the vocabulary or leave them alone. I’m torn. I suppose leaving them is best.
Okay. I’ll finish sorting them and then send you some to consider. You have to be willing to give me honest feedback. They’re not all worthy of publishing. Have you ever published a poetry book?
No clouds here today, Audrey — just lots of sunshine and thankfully, some welcome warmth! This one is lovely, especially your expression, “Hush Hush reality.”
I’m thrilled to hear it, Debbie. It has been a long time comin’, I’d say. I hope you enjoyed the weather as much as possible. I thought quiet was a bit boring. Hush-hush picked it up, a bit. Thank you!
Thank you for helping me to gradually tune reality down.

Have you ever thought about writing a book of poetry?

Yes, but I’m having a very hard time deciding which ones to include. I need lots of help, I’m afraid.

I’ll help!–if you want. You could do pretty much any of them. Especially the ones with your own “form”.

You would help? But you’re already so busy… I’d love your input! My own form…?

Nah, not that too busy. Anything you want me to do, just tell me. Yes, I think you did a few poems were you constructed your own form.
