Your au courant eyes
Devour her lambency
Birthed throughout crepusular light
Surrender confidently
Within the bosom of dawn’s obsidian
Your au courant eyes
Devour her lambency
Birthed throughout crepusular light
Surrender confidently
Within the bosom of dawn’s obsidian
Going into the bosom of dawnβs obsidian…makes it a glowing success of a poem ~

A glowing poem… and I had to look up several of these words π

Shush! Several?! Really?? Gus…why do I even try to teach us new words? I’m going back to using new and twilight. Giggle.

But if you went back to the easy stuff, then I wouldn’t learn any new words π

You’re probably right, and we both need to learn new words. π

I’m caught on the 2nd and 3rd word…but I love it! What’s it mean?

The 2nd and 3rd word(s) is another way to say “new” I was thinking of fresh morning clearly motivated eyes….and this french expression moved me…I wrote the poem around it. Probably lost most of the connection by using it. New would have worked and probably kept others from having to wonder what I was trying to say. I live and learn, Duke. Mess up my messages regularly, you see.

No! Don’t say that. I think those words enhance the poem beautifully, actually. Don’t feel bad just because the dull professor didn’t understand it. That’s why I asked! Your poetry is good. And we always improve by trying new things, you know.

Oh, Audrey, this one challenges my intellect — so many words I needed to look up to understand a fraction of what you’re trying to convey. Now I know, and it’s lovely!

I had my learn something hat on this morning. Glad the poem didn’t chase you away, Debbie. I wanted to use that gorgeous french word for new…I fell in love with it the other day. Thanks for reading.
