Not usually, Chum. I was working on a poem earlier today that I started last night and it completely changed after messing with it too long. Not my normal process. I tend to try and not over think the message, but this time I had, and gave up. Wrote a haiku instead. I think Paris has been on my mind too much today. ♡
Writers understand that blank page, Audrey, but some of us don’t fear it. Rather than thinking we must come up with a “masterpiece” (and all the angst that goes with it!), we just sit down and pour out our thoughts and feelings. And sometimes — not always — we end up with a masterpiece!
Some days, Debbie, it is easier to show love with a touch, hug, or sitting near, than it is to try and explain feelings. You’re correct, I’m not a writer in the truest sense….a masterpiece. Maybe we’ll all get there one day.
