Only if it’s strange that I could probably walk these tracks myself for a very long time, but find myself tired of wanting to, ya know. I think there is such depth and beauty to the difference between wanting and comfortably. Fascinating, Eric.

Yes, my story. Thank you, Duketh. These were taken in Kansas, while at the lake, with my Dad. He stopped on the tracks so I could get this perfect shot down the tracks. He was so helpful that day. We drove for a few hours and took pictures…it was a fun adventure.

It sure is. Regular life–as we think of it–is a great adventure, I’d say. (*laughs* I’ve just grown so used to it! You know, when we meet, and I call you that, I bet it’ll sound weird! It’s so natural writing it.)

I’m learning that it’s an actual name. Imagine that… Yes, sometimes my family will bring up my blog and ask if Duketh is still about and I’ll laugh because they’ve called you by that name. Weird when I hear someone else using it. Makes me grumpy, I bet. Totally natural for me, as well….)

Aww. Michael, great to know your mind has flown to this exact place. Best for reading my poem. You had hobo days? Wow….kinda cool, actually. My great grandfather had a bit of a hobo’s day back in 1914ish…he jumped the train and rode it to Kansas.

This is lovely, Audrey! Expresses the secret longing in all our hearts. Though no one in his/her right mind would take a walk HERE today — it’s 5 degrees outside (and feels like -25!!) Shoot, I can hardly coax the dog to go out, ha!!
