Melody of pebbles
Survivors of a rain bath
Glistening variety of colors
Stop me along my walking path
Pausing, I lean down to consider
They all look like you, and I want them
Ahhh, noticing the beauty in the ordinary things of life. Have you ever seen “Peaceful Warrior”. It’s awesome. I love the quote, “there are no ordinary moments”. I love how the focus is taken off of self fulfillment and put on noticing moments and appreciating them.
Lovely Audrey.
🙂
Yes, I know how you like when I do that, Staci. I haven’t seen that movie. Its a movie, right? Yes, and I believe it should be like that, as well. Thank you for your teaching words today, Staci. 🙂
Little frogs from your pond? Stop it. You just think you know me so well, Duketh. I’ve only just recently aquired them, Mr. Smarty Pants. One holds a red fish with big billowing fins named Lockland AKA..lil’ Locke. He swims about the greek ruins. The other fish blue and petite is named Skylar AKA Sky. She swims about a pink pineapple for a house which has a purple umbrella and pink grasses.
*laughs* See? I’m…prophetic! I like the red one. Greek ruins would be awesome to swim around. The frogs were actually water frogs. A white and black one.
*shocked* Help a lady out, would you? How did you know? Yeah, Mr. Warrior has a good eye. Water frogs? How cool. I have never seen a white or black frog.
One cannot have a triton and not love fish, I suppose. He carried his very tall triton on Halloween as Poseidon would and was acknowledged for carrying the largest fork ever. Imagine his disappointment when no one recognized him. Giggle. T’was then he realized he was a nerd. He loves to think of himself as the Emperor of nerds now, as football has up’ed his coolness factor since single handedly sacking the reciever to win the game. Walking with swagger now, you see. (I must not have sold you on it, huh? What did you see? Chick flick?)
I would have noticed! He did that? Nice. Man, I would have loved to see him take down that receiver. That’s cool. (Well, we didn’t see anything. Almost Annabelle. But I don’t like that stuff. We would have seen it…but we were too late.)
Yeah, that would have been fun to see. (The strat, actually. It was a jazz gig. Symph plays keys. And then there’s the rest of the band. But we sorta got rained out. *laughs* My fingers were so cold I couldn’t move them!)
Yeah, it was cool. Huge ego boost, for sure. (I would have liked to have been there to hear you play. Do you play your own songs or someone elses, if that makes sense? Did you sit on your fingers to keep them warm?)
You see in them what you wish for, hey, Red? Interesting path along the road of life.

I think we do, Chum. I think we see everything we wish for in other moments. Yeah…

No, I keep them close by my writing desk now. Great inspiration. How’d you know I had fish tanks? I have two!
