A hopeful step from the poem you posted before this one, and I like that you’re sure the beat of your heart is being heard. Judging from your likes and comments, you have lots of fans of your poetry, so you are indeed being heard π
That poem, Gus, was a brief moment of emotion I found by looking back. One must never look back, I guess. The future is so much better. I have to post sad poems, too, ya know. To keep you on your toes. I can’t have you bored. As far as the fans go, well, yes, you’re right. It means a lot to have August Macgregor around and reading my poetry. I value your opinion, August. π
Sad poems are good — they’re honest and part of what you’re feeling. And they can be beautiful, too — like some sad songs. I was just glad that this poem was on a more positive note π
Heard like a hammer on a nail echoing through an empty garage, hey, Aud?

Lovely Audrey. I love that first line, ‘And then she sighs to herself’.

I like how it hits with a hard punch. The poetry, I mean. See? Hearts are so loud, and they give you away. Best to lose them in battle. *nods*

Why, thank you, my dear. Was it like that? *smiles* I guess you’re right. Maybe writing poetry just gives me away, I guess. I should stop.

But, you sorta told me it wasn’t worth feeling with my heart. It is all I know. Most romantics suffer from this fate.
