All, brilliant in lavender color Some, copiously displayed Many, gravitate to power Plenty, will shyly escape Loads, unfolding for view Few, pause with elegance Most, leave me envious None, worthy of you
Another masterpiece Audrey, I figured out why I like your poetry (and all good poetry…which I think is a rarity), and that is when the reader is able to imagine that this poem is speaking directly to them. π
Which of course matches my favorite line (which the Professor points out as well): “Few, pause with elegance Most, leave me envious None, worthy of you” Brilliant π
Dalo!! I’ve missed you. Okay, at this point you can start imagining me running into your arms and wrapping my legs around your waist before giving you a huge hug. Yes, this is the sort of reaction I get when I see you here. *shyly admitting this* Maybe you should consider that I can easily think about the mystery of you, and who you are and write a poem like this one. Those words you like so much do reflect how I feel about your creativity and writing ability, you know. You are the perfect muse, Sir. π Welcome back!! π π β‘
I like that vision. There is nothing quite like a good, full hug to start the weekend π We are battling muses, that is good sign for continued poetry & writing ~ our spirits venturing out where we are unable. Enjoy ~
Yes, I do believe that you deserve that hug, as well. π I like the sound of battling muses, Dalo. Our spirits are very lucky. Is it possible to be envious of our spirits? Haha. Have a great night.
I’m glad you liked that part, Duke. *smiles brightly* You’re making me blush…I did imagine it and I did, I think. And t’is true. I cannot imagine being told that…it would make my year!

Nice! Who’d you say it to?

Well, I wrote it. I should clarify my words. I haven’t actually said them.
I bet you could…I bet you do and she’s probably very happy.
