I miss the pure beauty,
of effortless beginnings,
a motion born of true love.
Possibilities ignore all yielding,
rushing to move through quickly,
and encouraging even the bleakest,
of futile opportunities, for serendipity.
Ha, this poem could be the perfect explanation of everything that starts out wonderful and good (without any effort it seems), good luck coming your way ~ and then life steps in and does its thing. But in this case you have the recipe for maintaining this in your last line, “encouraging even the bleakest, of futile opportunities, for serendipity”.
Yay!! Thank you for explaining my poem perfectly, Dalo. Yea, that silver lining, right? Plus, I’m banking on serendipity at some point, however, we have a pretty good thing going here with you showing up on the best of days. I like celebrating with you. Opening up my classroom today…*sigh* Summer is over.
It is strange how the end of summer can’t help but be a bit melancholy, but then once autumn hits ~ it seems an even better magic is there. Love the fall!
Oh, I love the fall, too. Dalo, I don’t get the fall in Houston. Nothing better than the colors, the cool air…early sunsets. Perfect camping and hiking weather. Mmmm. Man, I miss it!
When I was still living in Nebraska, I’d attend the Apple Jack Festival every year in Nebraska City…talk about a weekend event that got a girl into the Fall spirit. Love apples!

We don’t get fall in Hong Kong either, but usually I am in the States in September so I get to see the beginning of it… Miss it too. Cheers!

Can we say that with a positive connotation as well? I ask, because in German it can be used both ways. π

Yes, heard both ways here, as well, Salva. I like to look at it positively, I’ve never been once for sarcasm.
