Ha, ha…loved this! Looks can be so deceiving, but even so beauty is beauty. Great photo and words. Enjoy the weekend, just think you could be back in cool Nebraska π
Giggle! Yes, you’re correct. I fall for it everytime. Just a silly poem, Dalo. I’m glad I made you laugh. I wish I was back in cool Nebraska….it was so inspiring. Keep coming back, you. I feel inspired with you near. Enjoy your afternoon of walking the streets in Seattle.
Hi Audrey, I’ve been OOT for a wonderful week (Actually sent postcards to folks! With real live stickum stamps!) and am just now reading posts. This poem and pic are a perfect welcome home for me – it actually rained last night here in SoCal – in August! Rarer than finding koalas clinging to our transplanted eucalyptus trees.
Loved reading your vacation posts!
Welcome home! Hope your visit went well, Shari. Aww. Thank you. Man, I need to come for a visit. I want to see koalas and eucalyptus trees. You live in a fairytale, lady!!
I live in a fairy tale – yeah, that could be true! Ha ha ha!
Had such a wonderful time in Boulder and got to see beautiful Boulder Falls and its creek, but not the other waterfall you suggested. Not enough time for the drive. Maybe next visit.
Ouch! What a tease! When a swimming pool can’t cool you off and turns into a jacuzzi instead, that’s harsh. Is the water in the Gulf of Mexico also hot like the pool?
Totally harsh, Gus. The water from the gulf can be cooler, as the temp on the island is usually 10 degrees cooler or more thanks to the water. I don’t live on Galveston Island, (20 minutes away or so) but just close enough that going for some reprieve can be a daily occurrence.
Oh jump in! Then you’ll think it’s cool outside maybe?

Have to jump in, right?! But then it feels like it’s bath time.

But what’s wrong with that?

I don’t know what to say to that? *laughing*

Well, I’m not sure when looking for cool relaxing water to beat the summer heat, do we vision a large swimming pool bathtub?

Well, if you get in something hotter, it will feel cooler outside. That’s how the professorish brain was working.

No, I believe that to be true, as well. Is it fall yet?

Not yet. Are you looking forward to fall?

Fall here is like late November, so I shouldn’t look forward to it yet.

I’m kinda sad that summer is leaving.

Doesn’t a jacuzzi make it even hotter, Aud? A twist, is it? I was expecting a cooling pool from you.

The pools feel like jacuzzis, Zak. I was hoping for a cool pool, as well. Not in this heat, sadly.

Must be hot there, as well. You’re normally on your game, Chum.
