Your love, Babe
Could carry me away
Leaves me wishing
I could call you
My Darling
My Lover
My Life
I’ve often dreamed
Your arms are wings
Gliding through the morning air
Waking me gently
Providing a protective covering
For me to lean on
Your words and voice
I desire
Hopelessly watching them
Weaken my reserve
Leaving me defenseless
I sense you fluttering
In the breezy wind of my soul
Offering me
Light and delicate notes
Soothing
My ideas of you
As if you already know
There are a lot of good lines here! “You arms are wings…” Is one of my favorites.

You think so? Why, thank you, Duke. I like that line, as well. But I think I used all my favorite lines here, almost all of them, anyway.

Well, I just say what I think next. Usually, it helps all the feelings too.
The first thing we must keep in mind that a good defense is a strong offense…

Yes, interesting that you mention that, Duke. *agrees*
So always stay ahead… like in chess? Please explain.

Yes. Be extremely aware. And speed is everything. So is confidence. In fact, confidence (even false confidence) is 70% of the battle.

You know, this type of thinking works in many areas of life. I think I can handle this confidence part easily.

Now the good thing about a katana is that it’s not nearly as heavy as, say, a broadsword. It’s easier to swing and is very sharp!

Then I don’t have to worry about keeping it up right, as it’s light, good. Sharp sounds a little intimidating.

One would hope to feel poetry on a visceral level. From the first words, I feel my own life and journey being echoed through the verse. Thank you.
