Walk with me
Please
Force me to go slow
Please
Let’s go nowhere in particular
Please
Ask me how I am, now you can
Please
Wait for my brave answer
Please
Use your voice to comfort a poet
Please
Hold my hand, make me hold yours
Please
Point out life’s simplicities
Please
Prove to me they are worth my time
Please
Make me think, hard
Please
Tell me to stop worrying
Please
Remind me who is leading me
Please
Force me to look into your eyes
Please
Insist I be me
Please
Wouldn’t it be great to find someone to do all this without asking? Makes us think about doing this for another without being asked. Nice job.

And Thank You.
You have a gift or writing, and within all that is the strength of the words ‘I insist I be me’ Not an easy thing to do in life, but you seem to be doing a pretty good job of it in your writing. .

Wow, thank you, Randall. I think it must be the right move, don’t you? 100% real sounds good on paper..much braver to do in life, yet important all the same.
I like the confidence you have in my writing. It helps. Very sweet!
Any photos taken today? What are you working on? Always about me here…

Unfortunately no photos this week, catching up on work and basically just dreary normal days lining up with work…but always ideas on the next adventure to keep me happy (even though not quite sure where the adventure will be…).

So you’re normal. What a relief! Yes, the dreary normal day. Dreadful. 😉
I understand. Teacher by day. Poet by night. The night job much more fun.

Yes, the dreary, dreadful, normal days…how do they come about?!? Give me the night (or the early morning), and that is when life comes alive 🙂

Loved it, loved it…you nailed the essence of the word ~ plus the flow if it is perfect. Such a talent you are Audrey.

I’m so glad you loved it. Even if you didn’t thank you for saying you did, you eased my mind!!! The flow, like I said, was very much like a conversation with you. One we’ve never had, yet I got to have with you via poetry, sadly you didn’t get to hear as I was thinking it out, but in the end you heard every word. Yay! Thank you, Randall.

It did flow so well, and happy I did get to ‘hear’ every word. Have a great weekend Audrey.

A lot of great lines here, but I loved “Force me to go slow” and “Wait for my brave answer” and “Insist I be me”. Well done!

Relax from last night, Audrey. Please.
Life is messy, like you say. Your poems really do help put things in order.
Thank you.

I am…wrote that last night. Today a whole new bright and lovely day, Mark. Thank you for that plea.
Yes, I receive much after the release of emotion. Which is why I crave it. Must release the control on myself. Trying.
You are very welcome.

You see, I was transplanting my holdover tension from last night’s poem and our conversation onto you. My bad. I have my own parent issues that can come popping out of the can like a coiled gag snake at any time. Your poem is so good it stirred my reservoir of emotions, Audrey.
