Protective covering,
Found under an umbrella.
Cloaking two people,
A lady and a fella.
Lost within a street full;
Barely a notice;
Eyes for each other,
Devoted focus.
Approaching quickly,
My eyes shy.
This is their time,
Watch them pass by.
Hear their exclusive music,
Linger in my mind.
Notes float up,
My heart aches for you and I.
Their eyes connected;
Not a wink or a blink,
Allowed for isolation.
Desire,
Love’s obsession.
Trying not to stare:
How do we get there?

Thank you so much, but truly not expected. I enjoyed your post and it sits beautifully all by itself, Terry.

Thank you, Terry. I’m glad you stopped by to read it. I think you and I both see the beauty in that protective covering.

The visual was really vivid in this one. I used to shield my ladies with an umbrella. They thought me quaint, but somewhat idiotic since my left shoulder was usually soaked. Getting close under an umbrella was my motive as well.

Thank you. I love that about you, John. A very manly and romantic move, I say. Haha, I think every man has a motive, as does every woman, with an umbrella.

Men don’t use umbrellas, dadblameit!

Well! Yes, they do, if they wanna be close to their lady, that is Duketh. I suppose you’re one of those guys who would rather make a run for it in the rain.

Run? No, I walk–like a…like…like… Jason Bourne!

With eyes darting back and forth, as you carry her through the streets, all in the name of safety? (How dreamy.) *smirks*

Hmm…that’s a bit too romantic. The guns are always blazing and everybody’s scared! (In reality, people just laugh at me.)

Yeah, I thought so too!!! Unrealistic! We all know they’d team up and battle together or run for their lives separately. Shouting see ya at home, Sucker, or not!
Although, I have seen those movies and I do think Jason would carry an umbrella for his girl.

*laughing* I hope not! Yes, I think that’s right. Jason did like the girl in the first one. And I liked that, you know…

*giggles because he pictured it too* Haha. Twould be what Audith would say to Duketh, I think… *winks*
I liked that too, you know….
(I wish they wouldn’t have killed her off. I loved them together, both broken and needing…loved it.)

Haha! I did picture it. I’m sure Audith wouldn’t–in reality.
Me too! I was disappointed. My favorite scene is when they’re in the car together.

No, she wouldn’t, you are correct.
Which time? I like the bank sceen when he goes to all that work and she walks in and just gets it done. *laughs* I kinda liked the hotel room too, when he cuts her hair and all that.., if I’m being honest.

*smiles* I like that about you.
When she keeps talking in the car. I think when they first meet. Yes, I like that too! I think Jason was surprised when she handed it to him. I don’t remember him cutting her hair…

*blinks* I like that about you, too. Hoping she knows him well enough to believe this about him.
Love that part…! He was, huh. You should watch it again… *starts scrolling the menu*

Yes, the professor wouldn’t either. You’re right.
I’d watch it over and over! I love that movie. Then there’s the scene…when he falls on top of that guy and shoots everyone.

*knows that already*
Me too!! Like on a cold day with blankets and all the lights off. He is so much fun to watch. Oh yes, I remember that scene!

*wonders if he told Audith that before*
He’s a bit like the professor, I hope.
